Projects “Art Burst”, “Small Motherland as Viewed by a Child”, “The Magic of Buryat Fairytales” and “LiteraTOUR” are the winners of The Children’s Initiatives Awards in the sphere of culture and art development

The shortlisted projects of The Children’s Initiatives Awards in the sphere of culture and art development have been presented at the 3rd International Children’s Cultural Forum.

Totally 40 applications from 35 regions of the Russian Federation had been submitted this year, of them the contest committee chose four shortlisted candidates.

“Art Burst” project by Mariam Galyaveeva (the Chechen Republic, Grozny) combines a drawing competition for the gifted children of Russia and digital show (digital exhibition) of children’s drawings, created using the artificial intelligence. Its aim is acquaintance with the varied cultural code of Russia in combination with the application of digital technologies.

Egor Semchuk (Kherson Region, Genichesk Municipal District, Schastlivtsevo Village) presented a project of the mobile exhibition “Small Motherland as Viewed by a Child”. The heart of the exhibition are the photos of children who witnessed the events in Kherson Region during the Special Military Operation. The life of Kherson Region from the first day of the Special Military Operation and revival of Kherson cultural space will be demonstrated through the lens of the children’s emotions.

The aim of the project of the mobile holographic theatre “The Magic of Buryat Fairytales” presented by Maria Nadmitova and Elizaveta Popova (Buryat Region, Ulan-Ude) is familiarization of children and teenagers with Buryat culture by demonstration of theatre productions and workshop sessions, which teach creating such theatres. The productions will be based on Buryat folk fairytales using contemporary technologes.

Matvey Kochergin (Siberian Federal District, Omsk Region, Omsk) is the author of “LiteraTOUR” project, which suggests a course of literature video excursions at the places associated with the life and creative work of the famous Russian writers and poets in Omsk Region, as well as creation of the literature video map of Russia.

Following the results of presentations, the jury made a decision to announce all four projects as the winners – informed Kristina Trubinova, the General Director of Bakhrushinski Museum. Each one will receive a financial support from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation for further implementation.

The 3rd International Children’s Cultural Forum is being held between 22 – 24 August in Moscow Palace of the Pioneers. The event managers are the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Federal State Educational Institution of Culture ROSCONCERT.
