Highlights from the Second Day of the IV International Children’s Cultural Forum

The IV International Children’s Cultural Forum continued at the Moscow Palace of Pioneers on Sparrow Hills. The August 22 program once again included creative lessons, master classes, and interactive discussions, and also featured the final of the Cultural Initiatives Competition.

The day began with the dialogue “In the Rhythm of Jazz” with an iconic cultural figure — the renowned saxophonist, composer, and producer Igor Butman. Many participants attended the colourful fairy tale with oriental flair Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, staged by the Sergey Obraztsov State Academic Central Puppet Theatre, the largest puppet theatre in the world.

The Cinema and Animation section, led by curator Gavriil Gordeev, drew great interest with his session “A Conversation about Cinema: Who Creates It, Why, and for Whom.” Every young participant left inspired to create in the film industry.

A special highlight was the KED Concert — a vibrant show from Yegor Druzhinin’s team. The curator of Choreography not only staged a spectacular performance with his ensemble but also found time to answer questions from the young audience.

Equally heartfelt and moving was the dialogue “With a Song in the Heart” with folk singer Marina Devyatova.

Participants also had the chance to step into the role of creators and innovators at the workshop “First Step into the World of 3D Printing”, held with the support of the Kreativik group of Rosatom Additive Technologies. They learned how to design unique models and bring ideas to life with modern technology, developing their creative thinking and exploring the principles of three-dimensional printing.

In total, the Forum’s second day featured 39 events, 2 concerts, and meetings with 47 cultural figures.
