The IV International Children’s Cultural Forum to be held at the Moscow Palace of Pioneers

The IV International Children’s Cultural Forum will take place in Moscow from August 21 to 23 at the Moscow Palace of Pioneers on Sparrow Hills. This landmark event is being organized for the fourth consecutive year by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Culture ROSCONCERT.

Over three days, young participants from all regions of Russia and from abroad will take part in the Forum’s six creative disciplines, which together will comprise more than 90 events: master classes, panel discussions, art schools, and creative lessons. A rich sightseeing program also awaits the participants.

As it is now tradition, the Forum’s disciplines will be curated by distinguished figures of Russian culture: Sergey Bezrukov (Artistic Director of the Moscow Provincial Theater, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation), Yevgeny Mironov (Artistic Director of the State Theatre of Nations, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation), and Edgard Zapashny (General Director of the Great Moscow State Circus on Vernadsky Avenue, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation) — “Theatre and Circus”; Kristina Trubinova (General Director of the A. A. Bakhrushin State Central Theatre Museum) — “Museums and Fine Arts”; Yegor Druzhinin (choreographer, Merited Artist of the Russian Federation) — “Choreography”; Dmitry Bak (Director of the V. I. Dahl State Museum of the History of Russian Literature) — “Literature and Journalism”; Gavriil Gordeev (General Producer of Okko, President and ideologist of the International Festival of Children’s and Family Film and Animation “Medvezhonok”) — “Film and Animation”; Olga Khomova (General Director of the Saint Petersburg State Academic Capella, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation) — “Music.”

Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova: “For the fourth year now, this unique project brings together 2,500 talented young people from 89 regions of Russia and more than ten countries. It is an important platform for creative growth, gaining new knowledge, and exchanging experience. Here, budding musicians, artists, writers, filmmakers, and figures of theatre and circus meet — all those who are already confidently choosing a path of service to culture. Over the Forum’s three days, participants will attend nearly a hundred events: creative master classes, educational sessions, excursions, concerts, and conversations with renowned cultural figures. I am confident that the Forum’s young participants will find not only inspiration but also professional support.”

The International Children’s Cultural Forum is a unique space for dialogue — a place to make oneself known, to discuss current trends in cultural development, and to explore one’s own opportunities for creative realization. Each day, the Forum’s curators and speakers will meet with participants across various venues, conduct master classes, hold open dialogues, answer questions, and share invaluable experience and knowledge essential for those just beginning their professional journey. Special formats of the 2025 Forum include: the Hackathon “A Region’s Cultural Brand through the Eyes of Youth,” where participants will present their ideas on the assigned theme to outstanding cultural figures among the program’s curators; the Final of the Competition of Children’s Initiatives in the field of culture and the arts, with winning projects receiving financial support from the Ministry of Culture of Russia for implementation; a lecture by veterans of the Special Military Operation, “I Serve the Fatherland. Preserving Memory,” held jointly with the State Fund for Supporting Participants of the Special Military Operation “Defenders of the Fatherland”; and the traditional “Letter to a Soldier” campaign, in which the Forum’s young participants write letters to servicemen of the Special Military Operation.
