The First Day of the IV International Children’s Cultural Forum

The IV International Children’s Cultural Forum opened its doors at the Moscow Palace of Pioneers on Sparrow Hills.

The Forum was inaugurated by the curators of the directions Museums and Fine Arts, Music, Literature and Journalism, Cinema and Animation, Theatre and Circus, and Choreography — Kristina Trubinova, Olga Khomova, Dmitry Bak, Gavriil Gordeev, Sergey Bezrukov, Edgard Zapashny, and Yegor Druzhinin. Participants drew powerful inspiration from those who had shaped the program.

The first day’s program included creative lessons, master classes, and interactive discussions, where speakers shared the secrets of their craft, spoke about their artistic journeys and achievements, and gave delegates the chance to ask questions.

Of particular note was the circus performance Magic of the Circus by Sergey Safronov and artists of the Vernadsky Prospekt Circus. The audience experienced true magic—breathtaking and beyond logic.

The day also marked the launch of the Hackathon, where participants learned what a cultural brand is and began devising ways to promote a city—or even an entire region.

Equally impossible to overlook was the art installation House of Culture, created by the Forum’s young participants. Its walls were adorned with drawings featuring quotes from outstanding cultural figures of different eras. Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova not only praised the children’s creativity but also contributed herself, attaching a plaque with the house’s address. The vibrant installation invites everyone to take photos with it—and even to add their own drawings on the bricks inside.

Another highlight was the vocal master class Sound Out! led by Margarita Pozoyan, which appealed even to those without professional singing experience, offering valuable insights on voice, breathing, and stage performance.

And of course, the main event of the day was the gathering itself at the International Children’s Cultural Forum! So many talented children from different cities and countries came together in one space, and their overflowing energy seemed to scatter the storm clouds over Moscow.

In all, the Forum’s opening day included 30 events, open-air concerts, and meetings with 41 cultural figures.
