Moscow Central Art School at the Russian Academy of Arts — Partner of the 5th International Children’s Cultural Forum

The school’s teachers and students prepared a wide-ranging programme for Forum participants.

The creative programme was opened by Nikita Markov, Director of the Moscow Central Art School at the Russian Academy of Arts. He welcomed the participants and spoke about the role of art in preserving cultural traditions.

At the Forum, the school’s students and teachers guided participants in creating the collective art installation «Mosaic of Cultures», which brought together young people from different regions and countries. Participants from across Russia and abroad worked side by side to create a shared artistic space reflecting the diversity of their cultures.

Lilia Ushakova, Anna Alekseeva and Maria Khoronenko led the workshop «Collage. The Magic of Combinations». Young people from Russia and other countries created compositions inspired by their home regions, depicting landscapes, landmarks, traditional patterns and crafts. The teachers shared their insights into working with form, colour and composition.

During the workshop «The Subtle Soul of Watercolour», Tatiana Astapova and Vladimir Kochetkov introduced participants to the distinctive qualities of watercolour painting and the wet-on-wet technique, in which paint is applied to a damp surface, allowing it to spread freely and create soft transitions. The workshop brought together more than 100 participants from regions across Russia.

The school also operated a career guidance stand at the Forum, where visitors could learn about its educational programmes and creative projects.

The Forum also featured two exhibitions. «The Cultural Code of the Peoples of Russia» showcased works by the school’s 2026 graduates, while «Russia: From One End to the Other» brought together landscapes painted by its students during plein-air sessions in different regions of the country.
