The IV International Children’s Cultural Forum is one of the key events of the year in the field of children’s and adolescent creativity.
Every year, the Forum brings together hundreds of talented participants from all over Russia and foreign countries — young musicians, artists, dancers, actors, writers and journalists who dream of a future in the field of culture and art. The Forum’s program covers six main areas, each supervised by an authoritative expert with extensive professional experience. Under the guidance of renowned masters, children develop their skills, reveal their potential and draw inspiration for further creative development.
Curators and areas of focus of the IV International Children’s Cultural Forum:
Music
Olga Khomova — General Director of the St. Petersburg State Academic Capella, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation. Under her leadership, forum participants will get an opportunity not only to immerse themselves in the world of academic and contemporary music, but also to reveal their abilities as vocalists and instrumentalists during master classes and creative laboratories.
Choreography
Egor Druzhinin — a choreographer, actor, director, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. His creative activities cover theatrical stage, television, and cinema. In this area of focus, forum participants will get acquainted with various genres of dance — from classical dance to contemporary trends, — and take part in dance productions created in collaboration with the curator.
Theatre and Circus
This year, this area of focus will be supervised by three outstanding masters of performing arts:
— Edgard Zapashny — General Director of the Bolshoi Moscow State Circus on Vernadsky Avenue, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation;
— Sergey Bezrukov — Artistic Director of the Moscow Provincial Theatre, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation;
— Evgeny Mironov — Artistic Director of the State Theatre of Nations, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation.
Thanks to their diverse experience, participants will be able to learn more about drama and musical theatre, and the unique culture of the modern circus.
Cinema and animation
Gavriil Gordeev — the General producer of the Okko Streaming Service, President of the Bear Cub International Children’s and Family Film and Animation Festival. Under his mentorship, children will create their own mini-projects and learn the basics of filmmaking, screenwriting, directing and visual storytelling and.
Museums and Fine Arts
Kristina Trubinova — General Director of the A. Bakhrushin State Central Theatre Museum. This area of focus combines creative activities in the field of fine arts, museum practice and the basics of exhibition activities. Forum participants will look into the interaction between contemporary art and historical heritage and create their own art objects.
Literature and Journalism
Dmitry Bak — philologist, literary scholar, Director of the V. Dahl State Museum of the History of Russian Literature. Participants in the program will be able to hone their writing style, master interview and reporting skills, work together with editors and writers, and take part in creating their own newspaper or collection of stories.
The forum will become a laboratory of cultural experience, where participants will have a chance not only to express themselves, but also to feel part of a large creative family.
